School vision

Cooranbong Public School is located in a semi-rural area, on Awabakal land on the western shores of Lake Macquarie. Our school is surrounded by spacious land and trees, creating an atmosphere perfect for learning. We are a proud member of the Western Shores Learning Alliance, having a close partnership with Morisset High School, the Itji-Marru Aboriginal Education Consultative Group and our local early learning centres.  Cooranbong PS has a current enrolment of 303 students with 53 of them identifying as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander. The school has 13 classes from Kindergarten to Year six, including a multi–categorical support class.

The school prides itself on a culture of excellence and providing opportunities, whilst fostering strong connections with families and the community. Every member of the staff is dedicated to ongoing, sustainable enhancements in education, emphasising professional growth and student wellbeing.
